Oh, the dining at La Plume was a true delight! The lamb cutlets were a standout dish, bursting with flavor like a Karoo feast! Plus, our Superior Suite had a spacious bathroom and a sun-drenched balcony that was perfect for relaxing. Can't wait to return for more culinary adventures!
If I had to nitpick, the tile floors could've used a cozy mat, but honestly, everything else sparkled. Even a little rain couldn't dampen the experience!

The farm tour offered by the hotel was both fascinating and informative, allowing us to connect with the unique culture of the region.
The toilet seat in our suite was in need of replacement, which detracted from the overall comfort of our stay.

authentic Oudtshoorn location, beautiful Karoo chic decor, charming fresh flower arrangements
The bedlamps barely provide enough light for reading!!! Kettle placement in the closet is impractical, and the toilet water had a slight odor. Please consider offering complimentary water for the second night!!!

The beautifully renovated old country house offers a remarkable stay, with elegant rooms featuring stunning views. A highlight was the dinner, where the ostrich steak was exceptionally tender, complemented by a fresh and diverse fruit selection at breakfast. lighting issues in the bathroom made getting ready a bit cumbersome, and the pool was notably too cold for a winter swim. While the gardens were well-maintained, the lack of reliable WiFi could be frustrating for those needing connectivity.

It was just a suitable option for a hurried visit in Oudtshoorn with fantastic value. The bathroom was large with a nice freestanding bath which made for a relaxing experience. Make sure to pre-book dinner to avoid searching for food elsewhere later.

It was just a good pick for a short break in Oudtshoorn with good value. The room had a lovely patio area that was perfect for relaxing. Avoid the self-service buffet for dinner as it can be a bit disjointed.

So much charm in the Karoo!
We stayed in a beautiful suite with elegant decor, and the bathroom was huge! The breakfast was delish and presented with care. We loved lounging by the pool, but it was a bummer that the WiFi wasn't reliable. If you try the picnic area, pack some snacks!

Couples, a romantic escape
The vibe when you arrive is something else,, feels like stepping back in time. The food? Experiencing that ostrich fillet fresh off the BBQ was a game changer.
It wasn’t cheap, but honestly, the experience was worth every cent.
